Research interests

1. Lipid nanostructures – new forms of drugs (liposomes):

  • creating of modern drug forms and methods of their formation
  • methods for the targeted delivery of liposome drugs
  • the use of liposomal drugs in anti-cancer therapy

2. Application of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) methods to describe the structure, type of interactions and dynamics of model biological membranes.

3. Modeling of biological processes:

  • mathematical models of bacterial survival
  • mathematical models for targeted drug delivery

4. Biological synthesis and characterization of gold nanoparticles:

  • searching for microorganisms, plant extracts and natural substances that synthesize gold nanoparticles
  • characteristics of the optical properties; shape, size and stability of obtained gold nanoparticles (UV-vis, fluorescence and IR spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering (DLS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM))
  • functionalization of gold nanoparticles
  • biological activity of gold nanoparticles
